Buy Trigger (Drop %)
The buy trigger defines how much price must drop before Aurono is allowed to buy.
Aurono does not anticipate drops.
It reacts only after a qualifying drop has occurred and a candle has closed.
What the Buy Trigger Is
Section titled “What the Buy Trigger Is”The buy trigger is expressed as a percentage drop.
Example:
- Buy trigger: −4%
This means:
Aurono is allowed to place a buy order only if the current candle closes at least 4% lower than the previous candle.
The buy trigger does not represent:
- A target price
- A prediction
- A promise that a buy will occur
How Aurono Evaluates the Buy Trigger
Section titled “How Aurono Evaluates the Buy Trigger”Aurono compares:
- The close of the previous candle
- With the close of the current candle
If the percentage drop meets or exceeds the configured buy trigger at candle close, the condition is met.
Aurono ignores:
- Intraperiod lows
- Temporary dips
- Price movement that recovers before close
Buy Trigger Is a Permission, Not a Command
Section titled “Buy Trigger Is a Permission, Not a Command”Meeting the buy trigger does not automatically guarantee a buy.
A buy will occur only if all required conditions are satisfied:
- Buy trigger condition is met
- Sufficient unallocated capital is available
- Order size is valid for the exchange
- The strategy is enabled
If any condition is not met, Aurono does nothing.
Multiple Buys
Section titled “Multiple Buys”If the buy trigger condition is met again on a later candle, Aurono may place additional buys, provided:
- Capital remains available
- The strategy allows further buying
Each buy is evaluated independently.
What the Buy Trigger Does Not Do
Section titled “What the Buy Trigger Does Not Do”The buy trigger does not:
- Buy during a candle
- React to price spikes
- Adjust itself
- Consider indicators or trends
- Guarantee market timing
Aurono executes rules, not intent.
Common Misunderstandings
Section titled “Common Misunderstandings”“The price dipped below my trigger.”
Only the candle close is evaluated.
“Why didn’t it buy?”
One or more required conditions were not met.
“Why did it buy later than expected?”
Because Aurono waits for the candle to close.
Relationship With Other Parameters
Section titled “Relationship With Other Parameters”The buy trigger must be considered together with:
- Timeframe
- Order size
- Allocated capital
These parameters form a single system.
Key Takeaway
Section titled “Key Takeaway”The buy trigger defines when Aurono is allowed to buy — nothing more.
Aurono waits patiently.
It acts only when conditions are satisfied at candle close.
