Trust

How Aurono earns trust.

We built Aurono so you don’t have to take our word for anything. This page points to the proof.

Runtime guards

What the software cannot do.

Five guardrails baked into Aurono’s trading logic. Three are always on. Two activate the moment you configure them.

ACB Guard

Always on

Sell orders below your average cost basis are blocked. No selling at a loss — ever.

Capital Guard

Always on

Buys require available capital. No margin, no overdraft.

Inventory Guard

Always on

Sells require existing holdings. No short-selling, no synthetic positions.

Minimum Position Guard

When configured

When configured, floors your core holding. Sell signals below that floor are blocked.

Cooldown Guard

When configured

When configured, spaces trades by the interval you set. No rapid-fire trading in a single volatile hour.

Architecture

Three architectural facts.

Your API keys never leave your device.

Encrypted locally with Fernet. No cloud sync, no remote backup. There is no server we could breach to give an attacker your access.

Your funds stay on your exchange.

Aurono’s API access is scoped to placing orders. Withdrawals are not granted. Your exchange holds custody. We never do.

Every decision is replayable.

Every market check, every decision, every trade is recorded as an immutable event. You can trace any trade back to the rule that fired it.

Open and closed

Decisions in the open. Adapters intentionally narrow.

Aurono’s decision-making code is open source. The user interface and exchange adapters are proprietary — thin, operationally sensitive, kept intentionally narrow. If Aurono Labs ever stops maintaining the closed components, the open core continues to exist independently.

How Aurono makes money

No subscriptions. No performance fees. No data monetization.

Two core revenue sources today: a one-time software license and optional hardware sales.

We’re also rolling out two paid extras, both one-off: a one-hour personal onboarding session where we walk you through Aurono and help you set up your first strategies, and per-question support tickets you can buy individually or as a pack of ten. No subscription on anything.

A third structural source is something we’d like to explore: whether exchanges would partner with us to share back a portion of the trading fees you already pay them. Whether that happens is up to them — your fees would not change either way.

EURC stablecoin payments fund the open-source side as a donation rail.

We earn when you buy a license, a device, or one of the optional extras. Not when you do nothing, and not from your data.

What we still ask you to trust

We can’t eliminate trust entirely. We can only narrow it.

You still need to trust:

The software update path.

You install updates; you can read changelogs and wait if you want; but eventually you trust us not to break the contract above.

The hardware, if you buy the Aurono Device.

Assembled from commodity parts. If you’d rather install on your own hardware, the Software Package tier exists for that reason.

The exchange itself.

Aurono doesn’t hold custody, but your exchange does. We can’t make Bitvavo or Coinbase more trustworthy. We can recommend those we’ve evaluated.

We write this section because pretending zero trust is required would be dishonest.

Ready when you’ve seen enough.

Buy a €99 license to enable live trading on your own hardware, or try it for free in shadow mode first.
